The testimony of Dr. Ford in front of Congress on September 27 2018 was very touching to people. As much as I felt sympathy of her traumatic experience, there are some questions I feel unease about:
!. Why would Ford stood out specifically in front of the public “not for politically purpose” but to “point out to the truth” at a time when Kavanaught’s confirmation is about to finalized? Given the Me-To movement has been going on for at least over a year and Kavanaught has been a Circuit Judge for many years?
2. When asked about how Ford came to Washington DC at the time of her story, she said she took airplane. What would attract a 14-15 years old teenager girl took a airplane (by herself, I assume, allowable by airline company assume?) to a party without the accompany of parents to a house without adult around? To the lest, this speak of some kind of behavior quite audacity in nature.
3. Ford mentioned she drank some beer before heading up to the bathroom. This is a story of more than 35 years ago, if she/her friends could not remember so many details, how could she remember how much she drank herself? How can we be sure she is not drunk herself? How can we believe 100% she may not mistaken Kavanaught with someone else?
4. Being able to get to the Court and stood in front of Congress would cost a lot of money/lawyer fee in the process in such a short time, did I not hear it right that her lawyer paid for her to show up in this critical time of Kavanught’s appointment and other costly expenses?
Is Ford a 100% victim? Or to the minimum she had some parts in this “accident”? At least this partially painted the picture of a capricious teenager girl came from upper class rich family who had afford to take airplane and the luxury to get in a special circle for entertainment, this conflict with a victim personality that too timid to speak out for herself interest. Maybe her trauma came from her own doing instead of all by others’ fault.
